The MAA Gothic Mace is a 28-inch replica built from 1055 carbon steel with a 6-inch by 3½-inch head and a 9-inch handle. Six steel flanges, each profiled and tapered to reduce overall weight, form the striking head; their shaping creates bite upon impact for denting and crushing. A spiked finial at the crown functions as a thrusting tool, allowing the mace to be used in multiple ways. The black carbon steel construction and black handle make it suitable for reenactment and historical display.
