It measures 2.36″ × 5″ × 0.51″ and includes a global needle that functions in all three magnetic zones, making it suitable for worldwide navigation. The baseplate features a curved back end for ergonomic grip, a magnifying lens for precision work, and rubber friction feet to keep it stable on your map during route planning.
Map measurement scales include 1:25k, 1:40k, 1:50k, and GPS scales, with measurements available in both mm and inches. The compass includes a slope card and a scale lanyard with two bendable scales for plotting routes directly on maps. A built-in clinometer allows you to measure slope angles. The baseplate is transparent with clear, contemporary markings and a distinct orienting arrow, and red/black north-south lines in the capsule bottom help you align it accurately. The needle is Swedish steel, and the compass is waterproof.
