The Mountain Guide Medical Kit from Adventure Medical is a comprehensive first aid system designed for extended backcountry trips and remote travel. Weighing 2.15 pounds and measuring 10″ x 5.5″ x 7″, it fits into a zippered nylon carry bag with a top handle for easy transport.
The kit includes a wide range of wound care supplies: 15 Easy Access bandages, 5 knuckle bandages, sterile gauze dressings in multiple sizes, non-adherent sterile dressings, QuikClot gauze, two trauma pads, wound closure strips, conforming gauze bandages, and medical tape. Antiseptic and cleaning supplies include 10 antiseptic wipes, 4 alcohol swabs, 2 Tincture of Benzoin, and a 20cc wound irrigation tool. A 4″ EMT shears, forceps, and 4 pairs of nitrile gloves support field care procedures.
For pain and symptom management, it contains ibuprofen (200mg, 16 tablets), acetaminophen (500mg, 8 tablets), aspirin (325mg, 8 tablets), antihistamine (diphenhydramine 25mg, 4 tablets), and Diamode (loperamide HCl 2mg, 4 tablets). After Bite sting and bite relief wipes and GlacierGel cold packs address specific field injuries. Blister treatment comes in the form of 28 pre-cut moleskin pieces.
