The Sanbon-Sugi Shinken is a 40.6-inch katana with a 27.9-inch 1095HC steel blade, hand forged and clay tempered with a wide bo-hi that extends up to the Chu-kissaki. The blade features a hand-polished Sanbon-Sugi hamon and was designed as BattleBlades’ lightest sword offering. The handle combines hardwood with premium-grade brown cotton ito wrapping over rayskin, anchored by blackened brass fuchi, kashira, and menukis. An extra slim black tsuba is paired with a copper seppa and brass habaki. The blade is housed in a red wood saya with a luxurious finish.
