Microtech’s Ultratech Gen III is a compact automatic folder that deploys with a push of the button on the 5-inch closed handle. The 3.5-inch blade is flat-ground tanto profile in Bohler M390MK stainless steel with a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating that resists corrosion and wear. The black aluminum handle houses the Dual-Fuel Drive Train mechanism, which Microtech uses to achieve the Zero Blade Play design—virtually no vertical or lateral movement once the blade locks. A glass breaker sits opposite the blade, and the knife includes a pocket clip and lanyard hole for carry options. The Crud Kutter feature aids in deployment smoothness. Built to tight tolerances and ready out of the box.
