Microtech’s Ultratech Gen IV is an automatic opening OTF folder with a 3.5″ Bohler M390MK stainless blade in Apocalyptic finish, half of which is serrated. The blade deploys via thumb stud to a tanto point, locking securely in place. The OD green aluminum handle is relatively compact at 5″ closed, with a pocket clip for carry, lanyard hole, and a glass breaker integrated into the handle for emergency use. The combination of M390MK’s edge retention and corrosion resistance with the partly serrated grind makes this knife practical for both slicing and sawing tasks.
