The Okuma Ceymar A 3000 is a spinning reel with 7 ball bearings and 1 roller bearing, built around a precision elliptical gearing system that delivers a 5.0:1 gear ratio and 28 inches of line retrieve per handle turn. The drag system uses multi-disc, oiled felt washers with a maximum drag capacity of 15 pounds, while a QuickSet anti-reverse bearing provides consistent one-way operation. The reel accepts monofilament in 6, 8, or 10 pound test (up to 210 yards, 170 yards, and 140 yards respectively) or braid in 15 or 20 pound test (180 yards and 155 yards respectively). The spool and frame are aluminum with black anodizing, and the handle features an I-shaped TPE knob paired with a rigid aluminum design. The drive train incorporates a machine cut brass pinion gear for durability and smooth power transfer.
