The Gauntlet Select features an injection-molded, high-impact plastic base with an integral hand guard and a distinctive star-shaped design that positions ceramic rods at a fixed 40-degree angle—20 degrees per side—for consistent sharpening strokes. The star-shaped holes allow you to rotate the rods to access fresh abrasive surfaces or orient them for working serrated edges. The sharpener comes with a pair of fine ceramic rods.
