Suunto MC-2 G USGS Mirror Compass with Declination Correction

The Suunto MC-2 G is a mirror compass designed for accurate land navigation and orienteering. It features a liquid-filled capsule with a fast-response, globally balanced needle on a jewel bearing, ensuring reliable performance across different latitudes. The mirror allows you to sight bearings and use the compass for signaling, while the sighting hole and notch help you take precise bearings. A 20-degree tilt margin makes readings easier even when the compass isn’t perfectly level.

The compass includes adjustable declination correction to account for magnetic variation in your location, along with a dedicated declination correction tool. USGS UTM scales on the base plate support topographic map work, and an integrated magnifying lens aids in reading small map details. Luminescent markings allow operation in low-light conditions. A clinometer is built in for measuring angles and slopes. The lanyard features a wrist lock for secure carry. Dimensions are 2.56″ x 3.98″ x 0.71″.
