The Suunto MC-2 NH is a globally balanced mirror compass designed for map navigation and wilderness travel. The jewel-bearing needle responds quickly across any latitude, while the liquid-filled capsule keeps readings stable even during movement. A 20-degree tilt margin makes it easier to read accurately in the field.

The mirror serves dual purposes—sight bearings by looking through the notch and sighting hole, or use it for emergency signaling. Luminescent markings let you navigate in low light without a flashlight. The baseplate integrates a magnifying lens for reading fine map details, metric UTM scales for grid work, and an inch ruler for distance measurement. An adjustable declination setting handles magnetic variation correction for different regions.

The compass includes a detachable snap-lock lanyard with wristlock, which you can remove when working closely with a map. A clinometer is built in for measuring slope angles. The mirror compass comes ready to hang in its original packaging.
