Suunto Tandem Compass/Clinometer with Sapphire Bearing

The Suunto Tandem combines a precision compass and clinometer in a single instrument, making it suited for navigation and slope assessment in the field. The compass features 1/3 degree accuracy with 360-degree azimuth and reversed scales, while the clinometer delivers 1/4 degree accuracy and measures slope in both degrees (±90) and percentage grade. Both functions are housed in an anodized light-alloy body measuring 4.96″ x 2.99″ x 0.59″, with dual sapphire bearings and liquid-filled capsules ensuring stable, reliable operation across temperatures from -30°C to +60°C. Each function has an adjustable diopter for sighting precision. The instrument requires no battery and includes a lanyard for field attachment.
