The ATAX is a 5 1/2″ overall hand axe built around a 4 1/2″ 1095 carbon steel head with black traction coating for grip. The gray micarta handle pairs with a black Kydex sheath fitted with metal clips. Beyond chopping and splitting, the head incorporates multiple functionality — it works as a knife, skinner, wire cutter, hammer, wrench, range finder, compass, inclinometer, and clock, plus serves as a fire bow bearing, arrow launcher, and field level. The axe can also function as a rescue tool and survival kit holder. An instructional DVD is included.
