The VX-4HD 3-12×40 is a 30mm riflescope with a 4:1 zoom ratio, delivering actual magnification from 3x to 40x and a field of view spanning 33.5 to 8.4 feet at 100 yards. The scope features an illuminated FireDot Twilight Hunter reticle in the second focal plane and is mounted with Leupold’s CDS-ZL2 elevation adjustment system, which includes a custom dial setup, Zerolock mechanism, and integrated throw lever for quick power changes. Optical performance is handled through coated glass with the Elite optical system, and the scope is built to withstand field conditions—shockproof, waterproof, and fogproof construction with a 30mm maintube. Eye relief ranges from 4.0 inches at 3x to 3.9 inches at maximum magnification. The 1/4 MOA click value allows precise elevation and windage adjustments, while the pop-up rezero windage knob and revolution indicator simplify zeroing and dial tracking.
